David Carroll with Ron Richardson.
I was proud to be part of KZ-106 from Day One, and this great guy was the station’s first program director. Ron Richardson has passed away after battling cancer, and this pic is from his most recent visit to Chattanooga last December. Ron also worked at WDXB and WFLI, among others, and he had many listeners and fans. RIP Big Ron, and thank you for being everyone’s friend.
Rich Phillips Ron taught me so much over the years. On and off the radio. He had an ear for hit records like no other.RIP brother .We will all miss you.
Chip Chapman Ron Richardson was my radio dad…more importantly, he was my friend. A sad, sad loss, Savannah – big hugs and lots of prayers to you and your mom.
Al Winters My heart truly is heavy. Ron was a good friend, and an outstanding colleague at B98.5. Savannah you have a rock with you unwavering love and faith during most difficult time. I’m truly honored to have had the privilege of knowing your dad. My prayers are with you Savannah and your mom Shirley Richardson, “The love of his life!!” May God continue to bestow his bountiful blessings upon your family Amen!
