BRENNAN, Cyril Grey, affectionately known as Bok, 87, of Pike Road, AL passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Born September 1, 1927 in Brickyard, AL, he is preceded in death by his parents, Cyril M. and Mary S. Brennan, siblings William Brennan, Kathleen Roush, Elaine Brennan, Donnave Lindsey and grandson William Knapp. He is survived by wife of 62 years, Louise, his children Donnie Brennan, Diane Knapp (David), Carole Grant (Chuck), Cyril Brennan Jr. (Jeanie) and Erin Johnson (Cleavy), 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Born September 1, 1927 in Brickyard, AL,heis preceded in death by his parents, Cyril M. and Mary S. He is also survived by his brother Dan (Clara) Brennan, sister-in-law Judy (Carey) Brewster and many nieces and nephews.As an Electrical Engineer extraordinaire, Cyril was part of the Great Brennan Broadcasting dynasty. He, along with his brothers Bill and Dan, built WVOK, WBAM (The Big BAM), WAPE, WFLI into the powerhouse radio stations of the south. Visitation will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atlanta Hwy., Montgomery, AL on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Pike Road on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Father David Peeples officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be son-in-laws Dr. David Knapp, Chuck Grant, Cleavy Johnson and grandsons Joe Jordan, Charlie Dees, Brennan Dees, Case Grant and Tucker Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Moody, Jerry Wynn, Taze Tisdale, Dr. Winston Edwards, Carey Brewster and David Isreal.

The family would like to thank his special caregivers, Debra, Precious, Brad and Rachael, for the loving kindness they showed for him in his last days. He was our Hero.
