After a foray into the country arena, WFLI switched genres by broadcasting the word of the Bible, starting with Genesis all the way through to the book of Revelations, christening the station in the gospel format. It was known as the “Mid-South’s Most Powerful AM Southern Gospel Radio Voice” for many years.
